BDI Advisory: Immigration Enforcement Surge in Charlotte - November 14, 2025
Federal officials appear to have launched an immigration enforcement surge in Charlotte, North Carolina, which the Trump administration claims is in response to elevated crime. Public comments from DHS and others indicate that the surge is likely to start on Saturday, November 15. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is reportedly reassigning personnel from Chicago’s “Operation Midway Blitz” to Charlotte and New Orleans. The operation is expected to be led by Senior U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino. BDI Advisory: Minneapolis Protests at Risk of Targeting from Provocateurs, further Federal Escalatory Actions - January 8, 2026
Minneapolis has seen large-scale protests over the last 24 hours after ICE agents shot and killed 37-year old Renee Good, who had been filming agents from her car. The protests have been largely peaceful so far, but have involved several risk factors, including limited damage by protesters at a downtown Federal Courthouse, the use of chemical munitions at point-blank range by federal agents, and the presence of provocateurs. As of publication, the FBI has taken control of the shooting investigation, prompting denunciations from state and local leaders who have raised concerns about the need for an impartial investigation.
