Former January 6 defendant and far-right provocateur Jake Lang will host an anti-Somali "Crusader March" in Minneapolis on Saturday, January 17, with the explicit purpose of antagonizing the local Somali population. The march is slated to begin at 12pm CST at Minneapolis City Hall, before attendees reportedly plan to march east to the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood, home to a large Somali community. While Lang’s recent events in Dearborn, Michigan, Plano, Texas, and the District of Columbia drew limited attendance, the tense situation in Minneapolis may attract a larger crowd. Based on recent events and additional information provided below, BDI assesses that this event is at heightened risk of violence and contention between provocateurs and counter-protesters.

A "data operation" and influence campaign is targeting Siembra NC, an immigrant rights organization, ahead of its scheduled "Rights Training" at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh on February 8, 2026. By focusing on the programmers and digital infrastructure, the attackers appear to be attempting to sever Siembra NC’s technical support network by making it risky for vendors to work with them. In addition, the explicit targeting of the February 8 training suggests the immediate goal is to disrupt the event via physical protests or threats, while the long-term goal remains the destruction of the organization's legal standing.

The next two days (February 6-7, 2026), Minneapolis is slated to see an influx of far-right provocateur activities, increasing the likelihood of contention and possible violence.

Love Life, a Christian anti-abortion nonprofit, will launch its 2026 operational season on Saturday, February 14. This campaign runs from February through November. Love Life runs coordinated operations in North Carolina (its core hub), major Northeast/Midwest metros, West Coast cities, and across the South. Each operation pairs a church‑based assembly point with a nearby target abortion clinic as the focus of weekly activity.

Recent anti-ICE walkouts at schools across the country have repeatedly seen violence, contention, the presence of anti-immigrant and pro-ICE actors, and doxing and harassment of students, teachers, and school administrators. BDI assesses that future anti-ICE school walk-outs, especially those highlighted by online actors, are at heightened risk of contention and possible violence. It also includes recommendations for student safety, digital security for educators, and event‑related risk mitigation.

Nation-wide anti-administration demonstrations - known as the "No Kings" protests - are planned for March 28, 2026. Drawing on the latest data and analysis from BDI and our partners, this advisory provides analysis, recommendations, and resources ahead of the protests.
